On forgiveness..
For many years, I always buy or get as Christmas gift the daily devotional book called "Our Daily Bread." But for 2011, I bought "Didache" which was published by Bo Sanchez. It is very much like Our Daily Bread but the stories are personal experiences of Filipino contributors, their names and email addresses are mentioned every after the write-up.
For today, 1 February (time flies so fast), the bible passage is about the woman who was afflicted with hemorrhage for twelve years (Mark 5:25). If you are familiar with the story, you would know that she was healed from her longtime suffering(sickness) when she touched the cloak of Jesus. The "twelve years" mentioned in the passage hit hard on me, I have given my twelve years to one person, many things happened... I am glad that God had finally brought deliverance in my life and now I am in the process of healing...
I copied the reflection written on the left panel of today's reading:
"Are you nurturing a hurt in your heart? Why not let it go now and start the process of healing?
Lord, it isn't easy to forgive. Please grant me the grace to let go of my hurts and to forgive the people who have wronged me."

"Forgiveness is not the emotional response to being hurt. Forgiveness is not rationalizing. It is not just forgetting. It means cancelling a debt. Therefore, forgiveness is a choice, our choice."
