How do I usually spend my weekend?
On weekends, if I don't have a particular plan to go out, I usually take advantage of it by doing what I love to do, I read books and some printed materials that I bring home, I watch movies on my laptop, I blog, I write my thought in my "diary," I listen to my favorite songs using my ipod while cleaning and/or organizing my room. Well, I also have to do things that I don't particularly like doing, for example, folding and ironing my clothes. ;) But in the coming weekends, I should seriously and religiously set aside time to practice driving. I really want to learn how to drive, I need to practice a lot to gain confidence. This should be on top of my priorities for the year. Good luck to me! ;)On forgiveness..
For many years, I always buy or get as Christmas gift the daily devotional book called "Our Daily Bread." But for 2011, I bought "Didache" which was published by Bo Sanchez. It is very much like Our Daily Bread but the stories are personal experiences of Filipino contributors, their names and email addresses are mentioned every after the write-up.
For today, 1 February (time flies so fast), the bible passage is about the woman who was afflicted with hemorrhage for twelve years (Mark 5:25). If you are familiar with the story, you would know that she was healed from her longtime suffering(sickness) when she touched the cloak of Jesus. The "twelve years" mentioned in the passage hit hard on me, I have given my twelve years to one person, many things happened... I am glad that God had finally brought deliverance in my life and now I am in the process of healing...
I copied the reflection written on the left panel of today's reading:
"Are you nurturing a hurt in your heart? Why not let it go now and start the process of healing?
Lord, it isn't easy to forgive. Please grant me the grace to let go of my hurts and to forgive the people who have wronged me."

"Forgiveness is not the emotional response to being hurt. Forgiveness is not rationalizing. It is not just forgetting. It means cancelling a debt. Therefore, forgiveness is a choice, our choice."

Hooked..
Yesterday, Claire forwarded me this link where I first heard (or maybe took notice of) the song Collide. Now I'm hooked with the song and the thought, been playing it since yesterday...I have to admit that I am not updated with music for a long time already, as in. I need lots of catching up, Nicki will give me today mp3s of billboard's top 100 as of 1 January 2011.
Guess, I'm taking my things-to-do one at a time, it's better that way...
